We started Dutch Curtains because we kept encountering the same problem: homeowners settling for curtains that didn't quite fit, didn't quite match, and didn't quite last.

The market was flooded with mass-produced options designed to be cheap and fast. But windows aren't standardized, and neither are the people who look through them. Every space has unique lighting, dimensions, and character.

Our Approach

We believe in measuring twice and cutting once. In choosing fabrics based on how they behave, not just how they look. In hardware that can support weight over years, not just months.

Each project begins with understanding the space. We look at natural light patterns, room function, existing decor, and long-term maintenance considerations. Only then do we recommend specific solutions.

Our fabrication process prioritizes precision. Seams are reinforced. Linings are matched to fabric weight. Hems are weighted appropriately for the material. These details don't show in photos, but they show in performance.

Why We're Different

Most curtain services focus on speed—get in, install, move on. We focus on accuracy. If a measurement seems off, we measure again. If hardware placement isn't optimal, we adjust.

This takes longer. It costs more. But it means our installations last longer and look better over time.

We also source materials differently. Rather than relying on a single supplier, we maintain relationships with multiple fabric mills. This gives us access to a wider range of textures, weights, and finishes.
